April Sew Much More And Computer Classes

 Guest Towel with Machine Crocheted Edge. 

This is a Jill McCloy class and one of my favorites.  We will appliqué, machine embroider, do wing needle work, candlewicking,  and then decorate the towel with an edging that looks like crocheting or tatting.  I will also finish heirloom techniques by demonstrating puffing and special hem feet.  There will be some handouts on creating different machine crochet looks.  Class fee $25.00  Please sign up if you want to take this class.  Call Wyoming Sewing Center at 307-234-4581 or Sandy at 866-235-3363 long distance free or 235-3363 local Casper.  You may also sign up via email with Sewing Center wyo.sew@bresnan.net or Sandy at sderop@bresnan.net

Class Supply List:

Embroidery unit and floppy disc or memory stick

• 100x100 hoop
• hoop ease if you have it
• light weight tear away if you do not have hoop ease
• heirloom paper
• wide rubber band
• 1/3 yd light weight linen or homespun 100%cotton fabric6”x6” piece of fabric for background of the embroidery
• 12”x4” piece of aqua mesh
• #80 universal needle
• #80 or #90 metallic needle
• wing needle size 16 or larger
• clear B foot
• Open toe appliqué foot
• Tatting thread or #10 or similar weight crochet thread, color to match your embroidery
• Embroidery thread color for leaves, white, small flower bud, and appliqué outline, and 2 shades of the same color for ribbon
• Sewing thread to match towel color
• #50 weight thread in color of towel for the wing needle work
• candlewick foot
• gathering foot

Latte Quilt Class:

We are continuing with block one.  Wednesday, April 16, 6:30p.m.-8:30p.m.  Cost is $5.00 per hour.  This class is not for beginners and covers all facets of the software.
